Dr. Frank Salerno is a licensed psychologist and member of the Order of Quebec Psychologists in private practice with offices located near the downtown core of Montreal. He is the President and co-founder of Montreal Therapy Services, a subdivision of the Montreal Psychology Center. Dr. Salerno specializes in Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Anxiety and Depression. In addition, he has completed specialized training in the areas of couple therapy and sexual dysfunctions. While working as a therapist at Montreal’s Royal Victoria Hospital (2004- 2007), he was the co-developer of a workshop for couples entitled “Make Love Better”. This 8-week seminar was designed to help couples improve their relationships by promoting effective communication and enhancing emotional and sexual intimacy.
Dr. Salerno obtained his B.A. in Psychology with Honours and Great Distinction, as well as Master’s (M.A.) and Doctorate (Ph.D.) degrees in Clinical Psychology from Concordia University. Dr. Salerno has lectured at Concordia University on the causes and treatment for Depression and Anxiety Disorders including panic attacks, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, obsession & compulsions, and specific phobias. He has also lectured at the Montreal Neurological Institute where his audience was a group of neurosurgeons in training being taught stress coping techniques. Dr. Salerno’s research has focused on how the interplay between personality and stress is associated with risk for anxiety disorders and depression. He has presented his work at national and international conferences. These research findings are presently being incorporated in the development of a stress-management seminar which will be available to clients in the fall of 2011.
Dr. Paula Bennett - Montreal Psychologist & Therapist
Dr. Paula Bennett is a therapist in private practice with offices centrally located in Montreal. She is the co-founder of Montreal Therapy Services, a subdivision of the Montreal Psychology Center. Dr. Bennett specializes in Cognitive Behavior Therapy for anxiety and depression in adults, adolescents, and children.
Dr. Bennett completed her Master’s (M.A.) and Doctorate (Ph.D.) degrees in Clinical Psychology at Concordia University. She is a licensed clinical psychologist/therapist and a member of the Order of Quebec Psychologists. Dr. Bennett has lectured at Concordia University on the topic of Childhood/Adolescent development. Her research has focused on understanding the thinking processes of infants. Her findings have been published in scientific journals and presented at national and international conferences. Dr Bennett’s specialty in treating adult anxiety and depression was developed while working as a therapist at the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Clinic affiliated with The Montreal General Hospital.
